Chadwick Boseman receives posthumous 'Hero for the Ages' award at MTV Movie & TV Awards

At Sunday’s MTV Movie & TV Awards: Best of All Time, the late Chadwick Boseman was honoured.

“The singer, “Black Panther,” who died in August, won the Hero for the Ages award posthumously, presented by fellow Marvel actors Don Cheadle and Robert Downey Jr.

“The second you first saw him on screen or had the opportunity to meet him in person, his energy and intensity was undeniable,” Downey Jr. said in her speech. “There was something different and special about Chadwick Boseman.”

“Each time he stepped on the set, he inspired and influenced everyone there,” Cheadle said. And he created a new legion of fans for every role. He has an amazing ability to unify people and their passion for his work and their admiration for him as an individual. Behind a greater cause, the way he lived his life unified people, and that will be his legacy.’

Hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, the MTV special presented the most unforgettable TV and film scenes from the 1980s to the present day.
He appeared in several films, including Jackie Robinson in the movie “42,” James Brown in “Get On Up” and Thurgood Marshall in “Marshall.” He played several famous roles.
